I recently had the pleasure of photographing Claire and Neil’s wonderful Norton House Hotel wedding.
It’s always a pleasure to be at beautiful Norton House Hotel to photograph a wedding. This exquisite wedding venue is set in beautiful private grounds on the outskirts of Edinburgh. With a choice of the Grand Old House or the super modern Garden Suite, it has something for every wedding.
Claire and Neil were married in the lovely Old House. We had a wonderful day. Unfortunately, the weather was miserable 🙁 The joys of being married in Scotland!
There was just enough time after the wedding ceremony had finished getting everyone outside for a group photo. As soon as I had captured a handful of group photos, the heavens opened! We were caught in a thunderstorm for the rest of the day. But this wasn’t a problem as Norton House has lots of space and areas which are just perfect for creating beautiful wedding photos. From the ornate staircase to the comfy sofa in the bar area, to the spacious ground floor rooms, we shot lots of beautiful photos with beautiful and varied backgrounds. With the proper lighting equipment and experience, miserable Scottish weather doesn’t mean your wedding photos will suffer. Looking at Claire and Neil’s Norton House wedding photos, you’d struggle to tell how awful the weather was!
After capturing lots of gorgeous wedding photos, it was time to party! The evening entertainment was provided by top wedding band Wildcard. I’ve seen these guys on a number of occasions, they always get the dance floor rocking!
I’ve collected a few of the images from Claire and Neil’s wedding evening reception which show the Wildcard boys strutting their stuff. Enjoy!
