A few days ago I filmed the lovely Jemma and Kenneth’s Moorpark House wedding reception. They were married at St Mirin’s Cathedral in Paisley, with their wedding reception held at Moorpark House in Kilbirnie.
The day started at St Mirin’s Cathedral in Paisley. Groom Kenneth and his Groomsmen all looked great in traditional highland kilt outfits. St Mirin’s is a great location for a wedding, with plenty of natural light and the pulpit offering one of the best views of the wedding ceremony.
Bride Jemma looked beautiful and arrived in a classic old Rolls Royce. After the traditional Catholic wedding ceremony the newly-weds departed for Moorpark House in Kilbirnie. This wedding reception venue is a very grand and ornate mansion and is an excellent location for both wedding photos and videography.
I filmed the wedding speeches, which were very amusing and greatly received by all the guests. This was followed by the cutting of the wedding cake and the first few dances. It was a great wedding day which end for me at around 10pm. Plenty of video footage for me to edit and turn into a brilliant story of Jemma and Kenneth’s wedding day.
One highlight of the day which I will always remember was Kenneth’s Grandfather having a wee dance in the evening. He was a lovely old gentleman who had spent most of the day confined to his wheelchair. It was fantastic to be able to record him having the strength to spend a minute or so joining all the other wedding guests having a dance on the dance floor. What a character!
It was with great sadness that I was informed by Kenneth that since recording the wedding his dear old Grandfather had passed away. I am, however, really pleased for Kenneth, Jemma and their family that I have some lovely video footage of their Grandfather ready to be preserved on their wedding video. Especially the final recording of him getting up to dance – what a great way to remember a loved one, having a brilliant time at your wedding day.
Here’s a few wedding photos taken from Jemma and Kenneth’s wedding video.
