I recently had the pleasure of filming Ayesha and Katan’s Lennoxlove House wedding. This was a wonderful Indian wedding ceremony at beautiful Lennoxlove House, Haddington, East Lothian. This is one of East Lothian’s finest wedding venues. It’s perfect if you want to host your wedding in a historical and grand setting. It’s also very private, with the house being closed to visitors when weddings are taking place.
What a beautiful sunny day for a wedding. Coverage of this wonderfully unique wedding day begins with the filming of guests arriving at Lennoxlove House.
The first part of the ceremony begins on the sunken lawn in front of Lennoxlove House. A Dhawala Indian drummer accompanied by a Piper leads Ketan’s family around the lawn towards Ayesha’s family. A gift is presented to Ayesha’s family, which is accepted. This is a very happy and significant start to the ceremony. Everyone was dancing around the sunken lawn. It was quite a sight and great fun to film!
The marriage ceremony followed shortly afterwards, taking place in the exquisite Grand Hall. This was a traditional Asian wedding ceremony. Ketan’s father conducted the proceedings. I loved this wedding ceremony, it was interesting to watch and such a colourful and exciting way to get married.
After the ceremony, the newly-weds and their guests headed back out to the sunken lawn to celebrate. The weather was beautiful. It was such a nice location for people to have a glass of champagne and a canapé or two. Very relaxed, with lots of happy faces to film.
This short video is a chapter from the newly-weds’ wedding video. It shows the champagne reception in the grounds of Lennoxlove House. It also shows part of the photo shoot which took place during the champagne reception.
A really fun day, this edit was set to music chosen by Ayesha and Ketan.
