I’ve just finished editing another Dundas Castle wedding video. This video was filmed for the lovely Louise and Chris. They were married at beautiful and historic Dundas Castle near South Queensferry.
I’ve been lucky to have filmed quite a few Dundas Castle weddings. This popular Scottish wedding venue oozes history and character. Housed within a large private estate, an exclusive wedding day is guaranteed.
For Louise and Chris’s wedding video I was booked to film the entire wedding day. So the day began with me filming the preparations. Quite often when I’m filming the preparations it’s only the bridal party who are filmed. But due to everyone getting ready at Dundas Castle it was great being able to go back and forth between the rooms and film both the guys and girls preparations.
I filmed the rest of the day, including the ceremony, champagne reception, speeches and dancing. One highlight of the day was filming Chris playing the bagpipes. Being in Scotland you might not think this is such a big deal. However, Louise, Chris and all the guests had travelled up from Kent for the wedding. So it was quite a sight to watch an Englishman playing the bagpipes at his own wedding. And he played them very well! I think Chris is really a Scotsman in disguise!
The full wedding video is around 90 minutes long. For the highlights edit shown below, I’ve edited that down to around four minutes. The edit is synchronised to music specially chosen by Louise and Chris.
This highlights edit is added to the wedding DVD as a bonus chapter in addition to the full wedding day edit.
