Yesterday I filmed Lusia and Gavin’s brilliant Dean Park Hotel wedding reception. This lovely couple had earlier been married nearby at St Ninian’s Presbytery, Cardenden, Fife. They held their wedding reception at The Dean Park Hotel, Kirkcaldy, Fife.
This was a really enjoyable wedding day. I had a lot of fun recording the day, particularly the wedding reception at The Dean Park Hotel.
The speeches were great fun and very amusing. There were a couple of other highlights of the day. The first was filming a video diary room. This is where guests leave messages of goodwill for the newly-weds. I add the messages as a sequence of greetings, anecdotes and congratulations to the end of the wedding video. Great fun with a few amusing messages left for the newly-weds. It’s going to be great to be able to view these messages again in years to come.
The second highlight was the release of one hundred Chinese lanterns. These are paper lanterns which are set on fire. The heat causes the lantern to rise up into the air. This was a really good fun part of the day, with all of the guests were involved and eager to take their turn. Seeing one hundred of these lanterns drifting into the clear sky was a beautiful site. The lanterns looked like a string of pearls dangling in the sky. You could see the lanterns glowing in the sky from miles away! A great time was had by all. This is recommended as a great alternative to a fireworks display.
Congratulations Lusia and Gavin. You both looked fantastic and were a joy to work with.
Below are a few wedding photos I saved directly from the wedding video. Enjoy!
